Microneedling

We offer Microneedling therapy as a popular skin and facial rejuvenation procedure that can help you achieve a radiant complexion. Microneedling is a non-invasive procedure that involves puncturing small holes in the skin of the face, neck, or chest in order to encourage skin restoration and stimulate collagen production. Fine lines, dark spots, wrinkles, large pores, scars, and other skin concerns may all be reduced with this Microneedling, substantially enhancing your skin’s smoothness.

Microneedling can also incorporate smaller injections into specific regions of the skin using the Skin Pen, a small microneedling instrument. For further benefit, after the mirconeedling treatment, we can also inject natural and powerful substances derived from your own blood in extremely tiny amounts, like those used in dermal-filler injection treatments.

Feel Your Best Inside and Out

Are you the right candidate to get microneedling?

Anyone who wants to change the appearance and texture of their skin is a good candidate for microneedling. Microneedling may help with dry skin, blotchy skin, rough texture, loose skin, age spots, wrinkles, acne, and scars.

Microneedling may also be used to counteract the consequences of sun damage, such as rough texture and hyperpigmentation of the skin. This procedure is not suggested for people who have blood disorders, anemia, or malignancies of the blood or bones. Patients who use blood thinners or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should stop taking them for a few weeks before their treatment and for a few days following (please consult with your doctor).

Microneedling treatments may be used to address the following conditions:

  • Crows feet
  • Sun-damaged skin and dark spots
  • Fine lines around mouth
  • Fine lines around eyes
  • Melasma and acne scarring.

How to get your microneedling appointment?

We have a full consultation with you prior to any treatment. This is your chance to talk about your skin objectives and treatment expectations. Prior to the treatment, the treatment region is properly cleaned and prepped. We will use a wipe-away ink to indicate the spots on your face which need to be treated. In most cases, images are taken one hour before and after therapy to track your progress.

The practitioner will then draw around 10 – 12 millimeters of blood from your arm (about a teaspoon). The blood is then centrifuged for 5–10 minutes. The blood is spun at a high-speed RPMS to extract certain powerful components  from the remainder of the blood’s components. This separated substance is powerful and “activated” by a unique technique to start releasing signaling molecules that, once taken into the bloodstream, can boost collagen formation and provide other healing benefits to the targeted locations.

Our microneedling practitioners will use a Skin Pen to make microscopic holes in the skin after applying a topical numbing medication. The isolated and activated extract, rich in natural and powerful growth factors, is then injected back into the face or targeted regions to provide further therapeutic benefit to the skin. The visit usually lasts around an hour; however, treatment duration varies depending on how many locations you choose to treat.

What can you expect out of microneedling?

You may encounter some common side effects after your microneedling treatment, including edema, redness, and bruising. For roughly 72 hours following treatment, we suggest avoiding wearing makeup, using abrasive face cleansers, or doing anything that may expose your skin to heat and/or moisture, such as saunas or swimming. You should also limit sun exposure as much as possible.

Although a single treatment may be useful for some people, the greatest benefits are seen following three (3) sessions spaced approximately a month apart. The release of skin cells is stimulated by the special growth factors found in your blood. The skin is tricked into thinking it has been wounded and needs to repair itself so it produces new collagen, cells, and blood vessels.

Most individuals will see immediate improvements that will last for 4–5 days until the injected substance disappears into the epidermis to promote collagen production. Many patients have reported seeing a clear improvement in the texture and radiance of their skin after two (2) weeks to a month.

What is the cost of microneedling?

The usual cost of this treatment is between $600 and $12,000. However, be aware that not all procedures are created equal (particularly those that use the powerful growth-factor-rich extracts from your own blood). Different clinics provide varying levels of therapy, and some have little to no impact. Ensure that the treatment is administered by a trained professional practitioner who is capable of injecting into the right depths of the skin. Otherwise, you may get a treatment that has the same title but is not equal to what we are discussing here and how we provide treatment.
